Surcharge-Free ATMs Available to Pittsford FCU Members
Pittsford FCU is part of the CO-OP and SUM ATM Networks providing surcharge-free access to Rochester’s largest Surcharge-free network and over 30,000 Surcharge-free ATMs nationwide and parts of Canada. Locating one of these ATMs is as easy as using the locations feature in the Pittsford FCU Mobile App or texting your street address, zip code or city and state to 91989.
Pittsford FCU is a CO-OP ATM participant
Pittsford FCU is a CO-OP ATM participant that provides access to a nationwide network of nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs, 9,000+ which are deposit taking. ATM terminals within the network can be found at many credit unions and select retail locations including 7-Eleven, Walgreens, and Costco throughout the U.S. and parts of Canada. Please note:
- Only those retail locations listed in the CO-OP search results participate in the CO-OP ATM program.
- Pittsford FCU is not a participant in the ATM Shared Branch Network. Please refine your location search accordingly and note that locations that indicate “Accepts Deposits” are referring to an ATM deposit.
ATM Surcharge Refund Program
We are proud to announce a new ATM Surcharge Refund Program for our VISA Debit and ATM cardholders. Don’t worry if one of the over 60,000 current surcharge-free ATMs we offer are not convenient for you. We will now refund up to $10 per account, per month in ATM surcharges charged by other financial institutions, when you use your Pittsford FCU Debit or ATM card.
The refund will be automatically deposited into the account that incurred the charge at the end of each month.*
*In the event the account is closed in the middle of the month or becomes otherwise ineligible, a refund will not be applied.
How many foreign (non-Pittsford FCU owned) ATM withdrawals can I make with no fee?
Every month, Pittsford FCU members are allowed 6 free ATM withdrawals per account. Each additional withdrawal transaction costs $2.00. Transactions completed at PFCU ATMs in our branches are not counted toward the 6 free transactions.
What if I receive a Surcharge Fee Notice when using a CO-OP or SUM ATM Machine?
When you use an ATM with the CO-OP or SUM logo on it, you may be confused when it prompts you with a surcharge notice. Rest assured our agreements with these ATM Networks provide surcharge-free transactions to Pittsford FCU members. Say “yes” to the surcharge. When you check your receipt, you will see the surcharge was not actually added.
How can I avoid being charged for foreign ATM withdrawals in excess of 6 per month?
When possible ask for cash back at the register. Many vendors, such as Wegmans, allow you to pay for your purchase as a “Debit”, input your 4-digit PIN, and then request cash back as part of the transaction. We never charge a fee for this type of “cash back” transaction, and these withdrawals do not count towards your monthly limit of 6 free ATM withdrawals per account.
Is there a limit to how much money I can take out of an ATM?
You are able to withdraw up to $1,000 cash per day. The ATM operator may set a limit that differs from PFCU’s. If the ATM operator has set their limit below $1,000, multiple transactions may need to be conducted.
