Card Fraud Alerts Process

In our summer newsletter, we highlighted what we are doing to fight fraud on your PFCU Debit or Credit Card. We also want to inform you of the order in which you may be contacted if we suspect that fraud has occurred on your card.
- A text will be sent.
- If 30 minutes pass with no response from the text, a call will be made to the mobile phone; a message will be left if there is no answer.
- If there is no response to the mobile message, a call will be placed to the home phone number. Note: No message will be left if not answered.
- If there is no response to the home phone call within three hours, another attempt will be made.
- After the most recent call, an email will be sent within 5 minutes.
- If there is no response to any of the above communication attempts, a physical letter will be mailed.
Please note, if we do not receive a response to the initial communications, you may be unable to use your card in question, and any access to your accounts via that card will not work until you contact us. Your balance may show as zero if you attempt to access your account using the card. To ensure a quick resolution to any suspected fraudulent activity, please make sure your contact information is up to date. Please call us at (585) 624-7474 to update your information.
