Financial Wellness Education

We believe that you are never too young to learn about managing your finances. In order to prevent negative financial decisions in the future, Pittsford FCU partners with local schools to provide financial education opportunities.
One way that we do that is sponsoring the cost of Banzai, which offers an online financial literacy course for teachers to use in the classroom. It is an interactive, game-like course to give students real-life examples of financial decisions that they may encounter. Another way that we help promote financial wellness in schools is teaching a money management class. We have taught around 200 of those classes in the past 10 years. Students learn the difference between spending cash and using a debit or credit card, what things might be good to borrow for, what interest is, and much more.
Since Pittsford FCU began in a classroom, we truly enjoy giving back to the schools. If you or someone you know would like to have a team member of PFCU come into the classroom to teach a money management class, please reach out to us via email at: [email protected].
