Never Save Passwords

The average person has over 70 passwords to manage for their various logins. It can be difficult to keep up with all of your online accounts and remembering your passwords. As tempting as it is to want to click the pop-up window asking you “would you like to save this password,” it is important that you do not – especially for sites like online banking that should remain secure.
A couple of issues can arise if you choose to save your online banking password to your computer. The first issue is that you may end up forgetting your password, since you haven’t had to remember it to login. So, when it comes time to update your password, you may be unable to enter your current one to complete the process. This can lead to unnecessary frustration and extra time to recover your existing password.
Another reason to not save your password is for security purposes. If an unauthorized person accesses your computer, they can easily log into your account and could potentially steal your information.
Instead of saving passwords directly to your computer, use a password manager that provides a safe environment to store your passwords. Having your passwords in one secure location can take away the stress of trying to remember them all and help to keep your information safe.
